Songs of Separation is moving to the next phase!
With album artwork well underway (do you like it? see above), the final tracks mixed and mastered, gigs booked and our record company, Navigator poised to take over the promotional activities…
Listen here to clips from the album (pre-master) including Sea King by Kate Young, Corncrake feat. Karine Polwart and A For A Rightfu King, feat. Hannah Read. These last two songs will be released as singles in December.
We will be performing the work in January (21st @ The Convent, Stroud / 22nd @ Cornerstone Arts, Didcost / 23rd @ Bury Met and 24th @ Celtic Connections, with live radio performance on the 25th, with BBC Scotland). We also have dates at the Queens Hall (Edinburgh) and at Dumfries and Galloway Festival in May, and as part of a big collaboration with women singers from across Europe at the Wales Festival of Voices. Alongside gigs, we are planning workshops and inclusive events that enable us to get to know people and really connect with audiences. A bit like this video of our workshop on the Isle of Eigg:
